Are you looking for the best way to naturally boost your fertility and increase your chances of getting pregnant?

Here are some quick, simple and easy ways to improve your fertility without any chemicals or medical interventions. Focusing on making some lifestyle adjustments is a great place to start if you’re interested in trying to get pregnancy naturally. These are all things within your realm of control for elevating your chances of being able to conceive.

Best Ways to Naturally Boost Your Fertility:

1. Eat Whole Foods

If you’re looking to naturally boost your fertility, you’ll want to start with focusing on your nutritional intake. Eating a whole foods diet is the most natural and effective way to get nutrients and stabilize your blood sugar, hormones and body in general.

Whole foods means anything that is in it’s whole, original form and has not been processed. For example, whole fruits and vegetables, nuts, meat, fish, unrefined, complex carbohydrates etc.

Eating a healthy, whole foods diet is crucial when trying to prepare your body for growing a human, as well as for feeling your best and increasing your energy and overall wellness.

2. Drink Lots of Water

When pregnant, you should drink 2-3L of water per day, so I would recommend starting this habit now and getting use to it. My best recommendation is to get a huge water jug like this one and trying to drink 1.5 of them per day. Yes, you will pee a lot, but it will be so worth it as your body cleanses itself of toxins and balances itself out.

Water is key in naturally boosting your fertility, as it helps to improve your organ function and restore balance and wellness within your body.

3. Reduce Toxins in Your Cosmetics

Now days, there are so many toxins in all of the products out there, and what’s bad about them is that they disrupt our hormones, making them get out of balance. Your skin is your largest organ and anything you put on it, gets absorbed and enters your blood stream and effects your hormone balance.

I love to use shop at Credo Beauty or Beauty Counter to buy non-toxic skincare products. I also use the Think Dirty App and EWG Healthy Living App to check the toxicity rating of products before I buy them. It’s a fact that limiting your cosmetic toxins and being more cautious of the products your using can help improve your chances of conceiving by aiding to rebalance your hormones.

4. Reduce Toxins in Your Home

While there can be toxins in our skincare and makeup products, there can also be a lot of toxins in our household products. Candles, room sprays, wall plug ins, cleaning products, laundry detergents, etc. There are so many items we use on a daily basis that actually contain a ton of harsh toxins that we breath in and can impact our hormonal balance and thus our fertility.

You can also use the Think Dirty App and EWG Healthy Living App to check on the toxicity levels of your household products so you can limit and reduce those as much as possible.

As far as toxins go, I always say, just try your best. Try to cut back where you can. It can be a huge, stressful adjustment to go 100% non-toxic on the fly. But if you can cut out a few things at a time, here and there, it will make a huge difference over time!

5. Take Prenatal Vitamins

When I was trying to focus on boosting my fertility I started taking these prenatal vitamins. This might not be for everyone, but basically what I read was that they supply your body with nutrients needed to grow a baby, so why not take them to get your body prepared to grow a baby? They contain key nutrients for conception like folic acid and other vitamins, so they provide many benefits and honestly can’t hurt.

6. Exercise Regularly

Regular exercise is great for your health for a variety of reasons, and so is just living a generally active lifestyle. Not being lazy, doing your own housework, etc. Being active and intentional about getting your body moving and even breaking a sweat is crucial to balancing your hormones and naturally boosting your fertility.

The key to exercising, if you’re starting out, is just building the habit of being consistent. You don’t have to start out with any high intensity training or anything crazy, just start with 30 minutes of day of mild exercise to get your body moving and blood flowing and build the habit of doing this everyday.

7. Minimize and Reduce Your Stress

Stress has such bad effects on your health overall, but even more so when you are trying to enhance and promote your fertility. If you think about it this way, your body is highly intelligent and if it feels stressed and overwhelmed, it’s going to naturally not be in the best state to begin growing a human.

When we’re stressed, we are likely in fight or flight more, and if our mind is in that state, it’s not going to be in any healthy shape to begin creating a life. The best way to naturally boost your fertility is to do things like therapy, journaling, meditating and exercising to reduce and minimize the stress in your life. The more calm and balanced you feel, the more inviting of an environment your body will be to conceive.

8. Avoid Tobacco and Reduce Alcohol

We all know the harmful effects of smoking and if you’re trying to naturally boost your fertility, cutting this out is a no brainer. It’s just horrible for your body and in no way shape or form helps to create an internal environment to grow a healthy baby. I’m all about everything in moderation, but when it comes to smoking, it’s best to just ditch that habit all together.

You’ll also want to cut back on your alcohol intake. Drinking too much can increase your chances of miscarriage and effect egg quality and sperm quality, so while you’re trying to get conceive, be sure to cut back on your alcohol intake.

9. Reduce Your Caffeine Intake

According to americanpregnancy.org, caffeine reduces calcium absorption, and some research shows that it lowers your fertility by approximately 27%. It’s best to reduce your caffeine intake to maintain your overall health, reduce stress and cortisol and also balance your hormones.

I’d recommend sticking to 1 cup of coffee or caffeinated tea per day, and then if you want more just try to opt for decaf. This isn’t that big of a deal if you don’t make it. You’ll likely have to stick to the same regimine once you are pregnant so you might as well get a head start on this new habit!

I hope that implementing some or all of these lifestyle changes helps you naturally boost your fertility and reach a great state of health and wellness!
